We are taking on the Great Manchester Run for our chosen charity, GMYN.
At the end of this month our team will be taking part in the Great Manchester Run for the Greater Manchester Youth Network, or GMYN.
GMYN are a youth organisation who provide a range of opportunities for younger people in Greater Manchester.
They also work with several other youth organisations within the area, and use their network to support each other in order to help as many young people possible.
GYMN pride themselves on their dedication to the welfare of young people, and they are extremely involved in volunteering and highly active when it comes to taking relevant social action.
Set up in 2007, it’s founding members discovered that they all shared a deep rooted passion for volunteer work and the many benefits it can bring - particularly for the younger generation.
Since then, they have been recognised as and registered as an official charity organisation and they have worked tirelessly to diversify the range of activities that are currently on offer to young people.
They promote a truly positive message, and these are just some of many reasons that we decided to run the marathon in support of them this year.
Last year we ran for The Christie Charity, who raise vital funds for The Christie NHS - one of the largest cancer treatment centres in Europe, and an international leader in research.
We had huge success completing the marathon last year and managed to raise over £1,000, so we hope we can do the same if not better this year and support a genuinely wonderful cause.
The Great Manchester Run will take place on Sunday 22nd May ’16 in Manchester city centre.
