Design and build a consumer-friendly online information hub.
GAMSTOP is a national not-for-profit organisation providing free self-exclusion for those struggling with gambling-related harms. Over the past five years we have created a range of materials for external and internal communications to promote GAMSTOP. We also provide support on social media platforms, developing assets for key campaign themes. In addition, we created the initial concepts for TalkBanStop, a collaborative marketing initiative with GamCare and GamBan, which highlights the range of free advice and support services available for those in need.
As a not-for-profit organisation offering a simple and reliable self-exclusion service for individuals struggling with online gambling, GAMSTOP recognised the need for a more consumer-centred space on their website. The overarching goal was to establish a dedicated area that not only helped those seeking further insight into GAMSTOP as a service, but also served as an educational resource, with statistics, testimonials, and real-life stories from individuals who have benefitted from GAMSTOP. Navigating the sensitivity surrounding the reasons for consumers visiting GAMSTOP’s website, it was vital that the new section of the site seamlessly aligned with the company's safe and trustworthy image, while also introducing a greater sense of empathy and realism.
The new area of the site needed to allow the GAMSTOP team to make ongoing content updates through an easy-to-use content management system (CMS). Acknowledging the GAMSTOP site's potential to be a central hub for vital information and educational resources, we designed the platform to allow the inclusion of additional pages to showcase other support services if needed. The brief included a comprehensive list of design requirements from the GAMSTOP team, covering elements such as consumer testimonials, videos, carousels, news articles, and resources. The implementation brought the functional aspects of the site to life, ensuring a cohesive and dynamic user experience.

We produced a website that not only adheres to GAMSTOP's need for trustworthiness, but also brings a layer of empathy which is crucial for individuals struggling with online gambling.
